Thinking Turner and Irish nature light scapes

December is quite a remarkable time in Ireland and Northern Ireland in terms of natural light. I have often wondered if my fascination and love for Turner, the painter, is related to the crescent of winter months.

As remarkable painters do, they leave traces and desires for us to be explored. Of course his study on light and its expression through painting deeply effect my sense of aisthesis – the coming together of all senses. I have not watched Leigh’s direction on Turner with great attention, I reserve myself some time over the festivities; found this interview quite interesting, though.

I took this photograph in Derry recently. I often reflect on time and the pulsing desire of expanding my carrier in an exploration of light photography and art. A rest from stage, it is the landscape I wish to gaze upon.

Thank you for reading and stopping by.
